Born Crystal City, Texas, he was preceded in death by his wife Artemia Garcia.
He is survived by his sons Gil Garcia and his wife Gloria Garcia, Henry Garcia and Ray Garcia all of Gilroy, and Jessie Garcia of Pleasanton; daughter, Lupe Trevino and her husband Les Trevino. He is the grandfather of Ruby and her husband Dale Jeske, Gina and her husband Art Salgado, Troy Garcia, Gregory Dino Garcia, Michelle and her husband John Adams, Cindy and her husband Tony Gonzales, Gary and his wife Karen Trevino all of Gilroy, Ernie and his wife Rey Trevino of San Antonio, Eric Garcia of Los Gatos, Danielle Garcia of Hollister and Nicole Garcia of San Jose. He is the great-grandfather of 15 and great great-grandfather of two. He is the brother-in-law of Lucy Esquivel of Crystal City, Texas, Angie Reyes of San Antonio, Texas, Jose Garcia of Salinas and Elida Garcia of Salinas. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth St., Gilroy. Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2004 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy.
