Dr. Joel Raymond Chassy passed peacefully in the company of his loved ones on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. He was 61.
Joel graduated from UC Davis in 1974 and received his M.D. in 1979, spending his residency working at Buffalo General Hospital. He then pursued his career out west where he made his home in Morgan Hill, practicing Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Kaiser San Jose until retirement.
Joel was truly dedicated to his profession and improved the lives of countless through his work. Joel proudly served his country in the US Army Medical Corps Reserves, retiring at the rank of Major.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen, his brother Larry, his three children Ross, Kelly and Cole, and his grandson Ari Coleman.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sid and Beatrice, and his brother Harvey.

Services will be held Sunday, November 20th, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Congregation Emeth, located at 17835 Monterey Street in Morgan Hill.
