Julian Flores passed away suddenly on October 16th, 2011, at the age of 69 years. Julian was a native of Madera, CA and a Hollister resident for the last 64 years.
Julian received his BA degree from Cal State University Stanislaus, Turlock, CA and his AA degree from Gavilan College, Gilroy, CA. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving three years. A member and President of MATA. Julian was Student Activities Coordinator for Maze Middle School and Rancho San Justo over a period of 30 years.
Surviving Julian are his spouse Alice of Hollister; son Justin (Melissa), granddaughter Juliana, grandson Brice all of Visalia, CA; brothers Ray (Arleta) of Herald, CA; Phil (Mina) of Atwater; Joe of Hollister; sister Sophie (Ruben) Acosta of Hollister and many nieces and nephews.
Julian has now left this earth to be soaring with the eagles and dancing in the clouds as he takes up his new venue in heaven. He was an athlete at San Benito High School and again at Gavilan College. He was an admired coach, teacher, friend, and colleague to many in the Hollister school system, where he spent his career.
He graduated from college with a specialty in Science and Physical Education. All who knew of him will gently miss him. He loved to play tennis and enjoyed his friends robustly. He appreciated traveling in the United States and on the European Continent.
He had many hobbies and was proud of his skills in remodeling and painting. His enthusiasm for his grandchildren was contagious. All truly will miss him, as he traverses the great beyond.
Friends are invited to the Memorial Service, Saturday Oct. 22nd, 2011, beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the gymnasium at Maze Middle School 901 Meridian St., Hollister.
