GILROY – Brock Prather hit two home runs Friday to spark 2-0 Kenko Pipelayers by Interstate Fence 12-4 in Men’s C League play Friday at Las Animas Park.

Scott Perkins and Donald Tucker each hit a two-run homer in a five-run Kenko fifth. Ed Gamboa homered for Interstate Fence.

The Red Dogz joined Kenko atop the six-team league with a 16-10 verdict over AAA Courier Poor Boys. Eddie Vargas homered twice, Emilio Vargas, Pat Belejec and Joel Torres one apiece for the Red Dogz. Shawn Penzo went 3-for-3, Rudy Rodriguez 3-for-4 for the Poor Boys.

Dee’s Nuts rallied for four runs in the top of the seventh inning to edge Humboldt Brewing 16-15. Junior Gutierrez hit a three-run homer with two out to push Dee’s into the lead. Rico Lopez turned two home runs into five RBI for the winners. Mike Wall went 4-for-4 and Dave Plaza hit a double and two singles for Humboldt Brewing.

Little Pizzarena scored 13 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to upset the Playaz 17-16 in Men’s BB action Friday at Christmas Hill Park. David Chacon hit a double and a game-tying two-run homer in the Pizzarena seventh. Jim Gruber scored the winning marker on a Brian Pacis sacrifice fly.

Paul Garcia hit a grand slam, Mike Luna stroked a three-run triple and Daniel DeLeon went 4-for-5 for the Playaz.

Marco Lopez went 4-for-4 to highlight a 19-17 Lopez Vending decision over the Gilroy Clippers. Brad Medina’s two-run single in a four-run sixth clinched the win for Lopez Vending. Rich Perez went 4-for-5 for the Clippers.

Brian Sullivan drove in five runs with two homers in a 24-2 Puzzle Systems (2-0) nod over Family Affair in Men’s DD play Friday at Gavilan Sports Park. Anthony Velasquez went 2-for-2 for the Family.

John Serrine singled and scored the deciding run in the top of the seventh inning as Me & Julio trimmed Team HJ-FX 12-11. Randy Evanger homered and David Lujan went 3-for-4 for Me & Julio. Tony Martinez and Brett Faust each went 4-for-4 for Team HJ-FX.

Gosta Brolin went 3-for-3 to pace Machinist Cooperative to an 8-2 win over Blackout Window Tinting. Anthony Correll went 3-for-3 and Mario Escudero scored both runs for Blackout.

J.R. Brewski’s improved to 2-0 atop the seven-team Men’s E League Thursday with a 15-12 victory over St. Mary Men’s Club at Christmas Hill. Rick Hoiberg went 4-for-4 and John Weberg capped a 3-for-4 night with a two-run homer for the Brew Crew. Frank McGill hit two singles in an eight-run seventh for St. Mary Men’s Club.

Johnny Ramirez hit two homers and three doubles in a 25-5 Titans win over the Slammers. Joe Duran homered and Andy Gutierrez went 2-for-2 for the Slammers.

Ray Garcia hit two homers and Kaleo Hocson hit two homers in a 22-7 Pray For Rain nod over the Good Ole Boys. Todd Morrell and Mark Hayworth each went 3-for-3 with a home run for the Good Ole Boys.

K. C. Adams drove in four runs and Cary O’Neal homered as 2-0 Solid Ground defeated Radiator Doctor 17-4 in Men’s EE play Thursday at Christmas Hill. Anthony Lucio tripled and singled for Radiator Doctor.

HMI joined Solid at 3-0 with a 19-4 win over South Valley Newspapers. Spencer Straub went 4-for-4 with a homer, scoring four HMI runs. Dave Zamzow ripped a homer, triple and double for the winners. John Jeisel homered for the Newsmen.

Gabe Sandoval hit two homers, Romero Marshall one in a 17-2 VFW Bingo decision over Associated Concrete. Al Orosco went 2-for-2 for Associated Concrete.
