Kenneth G. Watson died on April 24, in Sacramento at age 64.
He was the loving husband of 34 years to Barbara Watson of Sacramento. He was also the beloved father of Darl Watson and wife Kim of Hollister, Chad Watson of San Jose, Todd Watson and wife Jennifer of Elk Grove; grandfather of Tiffany, Aaron, Blaine, Ryan and Sean and brother of Halcyon of Seattle, Washington and Hazel Lawson of Fairfield.
A native of Canada, he lived in Morgan Hill for 15 years.
Friends are welcome to attend services on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Elk Grove Funeral Chapel, 9101 Elk Grove Blvd. in Elk Grove. Interment in San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers remembrances are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
Junior Wilson
Junior Wilson passed away in Gilroy on April 26, 2003, following a lengthy illness. He was 91 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Wilson of Gilroy. He is also survived by his daughter and her husband, Patricia and Sam Tharp of Gilroy, his daughter and her husband, Mary and Jim Erler of Crescent City and his son, John Wilson of Gilroy; his grandchildren, Kellie Tharp of Gilroy, David Erler, Jonathan Erler, Timothy Erler, and Joshua Erler all of Crescent City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wilson was a native of Baileyville, Kansas. He spent his boyhood in Flagler, Colo. and moved to Gilroy at the age of 15. He graduated from Gilroy High School and attended San Jose State University. Mr. Wilson served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was assigned to Special Services and sent to the CBI Theatre. After he returned to Gilroy, he met and married his wife, Elizabeth Howard, and became a public accountant. He started Office Equipment Sales in Gilroy on Monterey Street, which he ran until his retirement in 1977. After his retirement, he completed the one class he needed to get his bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University. He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Gilroy Masons, the Gilroy Kiwanis Club and the Gilroy Presbyterian Church.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gilroy Presbyterian Church, Miller Avenue, Gilroy. Arrangements by Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
