Dear Editor,
I read the letter regarding

Dear Editor,
I read the letter regarding “attitude towards Gilroy – J.R. Brewski’s” and I felt compelled to write and express a completely different reflection. I don’t think that owner Jeff Parsons’ comment was meant to degrade Gilroy, after all he must like something about Gilroy being that he is a resident and chose to join the business community!
Both my husband and I have had dinner on a few occasions at J.R. Brewski’s and we enjoyed the food, atmosphere and had wonderful service.
Being that Gilroy is a small town, we almost always ran into people we knew there, and it was just a nice place to relax, socialize and have a good meal. On more than one occasion, Mr. Parsons came by our table just making his rounds and ensuring that the patrons were getting good service. It is very rare for the restaurant owner to take the time to visit with his guests. We had never met Mr. Parsons and so it was a nice touch to our experience.
I am sure that people had bad experiences at J.R. Brewski’s as with lots of other restaurants, but I don’t think it is fair to criticize the place for one bad experience. Whatever happened to a second chance?
I understand that a letter was written and went unanswered, but it doesn’t mean that the situation was not dealt with amongst the employees. J.R. Brewski’s was one of our top-choice restaurants for a nice dinner and we will miss having that as one of our options. I know for a fact that there are several Gilroy residents that feel the same.
