Dear Editor,
Since reading the front-page article in the Dispatch regarding signs being left up around Gilroy, I was wondering if the City of Gilroy is exempt from the rules stated in the article.
A City of Gilroy event was held on Aug. 1 and there are still at least nine “no parking” signs posted on fences and trees on Princevalle Street between Catherine Court and Luchessa Avenue.
When will they be removed?
Gregg Rianda, Gilroy
Are the American people being sold a bill of goods in new healthcare legislation?
Dear Editor,
We have been told that we can keep our current healthcare provider. However, both the House and Senate versions of the bill say otherwise.
We have been told that we must pass this bill without knowing what is in it. We have been told that it will be “deficit neutral” or in plain English it won’t cost anything. “People making over a million dollars a year will pay for it.”
Aren’t those the people who are supposed to be providing jobs? The real test of the healthcare plan is who it applies to. Are our Congressional representatives, Senators, president and all civil service employees included? Ask your Senator, Congressman or the president if they will be forced into this plan?
If they aren’t in the plan why is it good for us?
Keith C. De Filippis, Gilroy
