In boys Juniors, the White Sox 6-5 win over the Evergreen Red Sox on Sunday moved them into the next phase, playing today against Milpitas A’s at the Milpitas Sports Complex. First pitch at 6 p.m.
The boys Majors Phillies defeated Evergreen 10-0 on Sunday to advance to the second round against East Hills in Evergreen tonight at 5:30 p.m.
Also in the Majors bracket (on the opposite side), the GLL American League champs, the White Sox, had a bye into the second round and will take on Oakridge tonight at 5:30 p.m.
The TOC’s is single elimination.
On the girls’ side, the Juniors Angels finished second at TOC’s, dropping a narrow 9-7 tilt to San Jose Next Level on Friday.
In District 59 All-Star action, the GLL 9-year-old National League squad picked up an opening-round victory over Oak Grove, 14-3, on Sunday. The team continues in the tournament today against Evergreen at the Gilroy Sports Complex. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. The American League 9-year-old All-Stars tied Evergreen 2-2 on Sunday.
