Midnight Junior Golf Tourney
GILROY – Gilroy Golf Course will once again be hosting their annual Midnight Madness Night Junior Golf Tournament.
The tournament is played at night using glow-in-the-dark golf balls. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. with a putting tournament followed by a hamburger BBQ. The tournament itself starts at approximately 9 p.m.
Cost for the event is $30, which includes golf, dinner, drinks, putting tournament and golf balls.

South Valley Running Club openings
MORGAN HILL – The South Valley Running Club invites runners of all ability to join its members for weekly runs on the weekend, a weekday run Wednesday morning, and speed training at the track on Thursday nights.
Come and meet fellow runners at our monthly meeting on Wednesday, July 7, Mountain Mike’s Pizza in Morgan Hill, Monterey Road and Vineyard, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Details: Contact Craig Lore 686-1002 or bo******@*****ll.net.
Reek Run registration underway
GILROY – Bonfante Gardens’ Reek Runs – 5K Walk/Run and 10K Race – is scheduled for July 10 at the Gilroy theme park. Call 842-5608 for details.
Registration, which is $25 after June 27 and includes a race tee-shirt, is at 6:45 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m.
Participants can pick up t-shirts, goodies bag and racing bib Friday evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Gilroy Hilton Garden Inn or on race day.
There will be two-for-one tickets into the Park for participants and volunteers.
The run benefits Gilroy Performing Arts Center.
There will be a Bonfante Gardens Reek Runs volunteer walk through the course on Sat. June 26 at 7:30 a.m.
