Three arrested in attempted robbery
Gilroy – Three juvenile males were arrested after attempting to rob a 15-year-old male in the area of Hanna Street and Welburn Avenue, police said.
The teen was approached by the three males – two 14-year-olds and one 15-year-old – as he walked down the street at about 5pm Wednesday.
One of the suspects brandished a knife and ordered the victim to give them his money, police said.
However, the suspects were scared off when other individuals came into view.
About 90 minutes later, police responding to a call about suspicious activity discovered three suspects who matched the description the witnessed provided earlier.
The victim positively identified the three juveniles, and they were transported to juvenile hall.
