Boots and Badges benefits police foundation

The Gilroy Police Foundation presents Boots and Badges at Fortino Winery, 4525 Hecker Pass Highway, on Sept. 10 from 5-9:30pm.

There will be displays and interactive exhibits by the Gilroy Police Department. The event will also feature silent and live auctions, barbecue and music by Aaron Avila & Second Wind Band.

Proceeds from this event will go to fund equipment, training and community policing initiatives of the Gilroy Police Department.

The Gilroy Police Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization, created and staffed by local volunteers.

In 2015, a small group of Gilroy residents formed the Gilroy Police Foundation to raise awareness and community support for the department’s priorities that the regular city budget does not fund.
