Thunder battled to a 2-2 tie on Monday in Gilroy Little League girls Major action.
Brook Loesch got the scoring started in the first for the Thunder with a solid single up the middle eventually scoring on a Sarah Weiby single.
The Heat came right back in their half of the first when Lauren Castro singled home Maddie Cox.
Mackenzie Holt put the Thunder back on top in the fourth with a home run to right. The Heat drew even again in the fifth with a single by Castro, who was advanced to third on a perfectly placed bunt single by Alli Hathaway. Castro later scored on a wild pitch to conclude the scoring for the game.
Strong pitching by Castro (10 strikeouts in 4 innings) and Holt (13 strikeouts in 6 innings) made it difficult for each team to get anything started offensively.
