Marcella Beuttler died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She was 83.
Born Sept. 10, 1920, she and her husband Simon Breen Beuttler, owned and operated the Madrone Market from 1949 until 1993, when they both retired.
Mrs. Beuttler is survived by her son, Robert Lewis Beuttler; daughter, Diana Lyn Defina and her husband Syde Patrick Defina; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon and son Simon Breen Beuttler.
Vistiation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., today at the Johsnon Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Road, Morgan Hill.
A vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, at St. Catherine Church.
Interment will follow in San Juan Bautista at the Historical Cemetery site where she will be laid to rest with her husband Simon Breen Beuttler, along with decendant family and members of the Donner Party
