Mrs. Miguel was born in San Fernando, La Union, Philippine Islands. She came to the United States in 1971, and married Mamerto Miguel, in 1973.
She enjoyed traveling and working in her garden. She and her husband were farmers and grew corn, beans and a variety of oriental vegetables at their Gilroy residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mamerto Miguel in 2000 and her stepdaughter Marlene Miguel in 1985.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Forest Miguel and his wife Beverly Miguel of Aromas, Victor Miguel and his wife Donna Miguel of Santa Cruz, Patricia Diaz of San Jose, and Rosalie Miguel of San Jose; brother, Melchor Mallare and his wife Gina Mallare of Danville, Va., Quirino Mallare and his wife Teodora Mallare of Escondito; nephew, Herman Mallare and his wife Fortune Mallare of Escondito; niece Dorie Tangalin of Houston, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services were held in the Philippines.
