GILROY – Barb Lemberger scored four runs Wednesday as Marks Tractor Service kept its Women’s C League pennant hopes alive with a 13-7 victory over Michael’s Mufflers at Las Animas Park.

Lemberger’s daughter, Chrissy Ivory, collected two doubles and one single. Lemberger’s mother, Nancy McDonald, contributed a double and single as Marks Tractor moved into second place with a 4-1 record.

Leslie Miner lined three singles and Cathy Marks went 2-for-5 and scored three runs for the winners. Maureen Schaefer went 3-for-4 for Michael’s Mufflers, the first-half D League champion.

Debra Grove singled home Shelly Guerrero with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift M&M’s past Goldsmith Seeds 5-4 in the triplebill opener.

Goldsmith Seeds struck for three runs in the second inning for a 3-1 edge. Monica Samudio led the rally with an RBI-single.

Laura Hagiperos doubled and scored on a Tammy Herscovitch single in the M&M’s second. Karen Turnland, the game batting leader with three hits. singled and scored on an error in the M&M’s third to tie the score.

Norma Wendt singled and scored in the Seeds fifth, while M&M’s countered with one run in the sixth on a MarySerber double and Hagiperos sacrifice fly.

Los Chilotes powered past the Dirty Dozen 41-9 to create a three-team tie for first place atop the Men’s D League Wednesday at Gavilan Sports Park.

Joel Gaeta went 6-for-6 with two home runs for Los Chilotes. Adrian Guzman, Carlos Flores and Jorge Landeros hit Los Chilotes home runs. Rey Dimas went 5-for-5 and scored three runs for the winners.

Luis Gutierrez homered in a 3-for-4 night for Dirty Dozen. Ben Naranjo and Art Garcia each went 2-for-2 for the Dozen.

Aladdin Bail Bonds-Fermin’s Appliance Service took a forfeit win over the Desperados, leaving both teams at 3-2 along with Dirty Dozen with one week left in the regular season.
