graduate, recently earned the Wildcat of the Week award after
pitching a complete game for a victory on his birthday.
CHICO – Chico State baseball’s Pete Mickartz, a 2005 Gilroy High graduate, recently earned the Wildcat of the Week award after pitching a complete game for a victory on his birthday. Mickartz allowed just five hits and struck out eight to tally his second complete game of the season.
In his sophomore season, Mickartz is 7-3 with a 4.95 ERA and 76 strikeouts in 80 innings. He has already moved into the Chico State career Top 10 this season in wins, winning percentage, strikeouts, starts, innings pitched and complete games.
