Mondo Uribe homered in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Borrachos past Heinzen Manufacturing 11-10 in a key Men’s EE League softball game Tuesday at Las Animas Park.
The win left the Borrachos and VFW Bingo tied for first place at 3-1, while Heinzen slipped to 2-1.
Mark Cisneros and Abraham Hernandez lined RBI-singles in the sixth to give the Borrachos a 10-8 lead. Heinzen responded in the seventh with a Randy Garcia, an RBI-double from Bobby Guerrero and RBI-single by Rudi Groppe.
Albert Sanchez homered and Ralph Flores scored three runs for the Borrachos. John Jimenez homered and Groppe went 3-for-4 for Heinzen.
Joe Castaneda’s RBI-single in the top of the seventh earned ConAgra a 12-11 win over VFW Bingo.
Valentin Mireles and Sat Regalado each hit a double and two singles for ConAgra. Steve Lemberger scored three VFW Bingo runs.
Davis Tripathi, Chris Puthoff and Robie Kramer each homered to help Good Ole Boys past Team Beefy 26-3. Tripathi finished with four hits. Devin Humphrey and Joe Mata delivered RBI-singles for Team Beefy.
Calddagh Brew Crew maintained a share of first place in the Men’s DD second-half pennant chase Tuesday with a 7-6 edging of Trevino Brothers Construction at Christmas Hill Park.
Willie Weihman and Joey Hoiberg combined singles to produce one Claddagh and a 6-6 tie in the bottom of the sixth. Mike Lema’s one-out RBI-single in the seventh gave the decision to the Brew Crew.
John Weberg, Weihman and Lema each netted three Claddagh hits. Mike Leslie went 3-for-4 and Chase Locsin homered for Trevino Brothers.
Wicked joined Claddagh at 3-1 with a 9-8 win in eight innings over the Titans.
The Titans erupted for five runs in the seventh for an 8-8 tie. Steve Welch keyed the comeback with a two-run double. Brian Fialkowsky singled and scored on a two-out single from Joey Garcia in the Wicked eighth.
Joel Perez produced a double and two singles, scoring three Wicked runs. Lee Pappas homered for the Titans.
Feather Haven moved to 2-2 with a 10-4 decision over the Loco Boys.
Bob Rocha went 3-for-3 and Ricky Gonzalez stroked a two-run single for Feather Haven. Alex Pena tripled and singled for the Loco Boys.
