GILROY – Gilroy High football will be playing its Inaugural Spring Game Friday at Garcia-Elder Sports Complex.
Lasting from 6-8:30 p.m., the varsity team will work on drills as well as play in an one-hour game without pads. Fans are welcome to attend the game as well as a dinner following the event, which is being put on to raise money for the program. All proceeds will go to the Quarterback Club, which funds all three GHS football teams.
“Our goal is to reach out to the Gilroy community to come watch and support our athletes for our last day of Spring Ball,” Gilroy head coach Greg Garcia said.
Garcia will be wearing a wireless microphone and giving quick explanations to fans of what the players are doing in drills, as well as what the team is trying to accomplish in its scrimmage.
