Please consult a dictionary to learn the difference between imply and infer.
You may not legitimately infer that I have implied that Wayne Scott is a bad teacher, when I state in my May 21st column that he may be an obstacle to improvement in the math performance of GUSD students; I delineate my reasons for that statement in the very same column. His pedagogy may be perfection itself, for all I know, but, I repeat, his attitude, as expressed in his letters, may well account for the lackluster performance of his students.
