Women in Touch 11 started with a bag lunch meeting at the Las Animas Park in August 1989 – the local ladies were eager to from a social group and met a few times at Digger Dan’s. Because of a growing membership, the first regular meeting was held at the Elk’s Hall on April 19, 1990. The group enjoys monthly luncheon meetings with entertainment and group trips through out the year. The membership is open to all interested ladies.
This month the Sak-A-Bozzo team were guest speakers – they gave a cooking demonstration aided by Rose Emma Pelliccione and Judy Bozzo. Gene Sakahara and Sam Bozzo entertained the group with information about the Gilroy Garlic Festival and their participation in this event for many years.
In the audience was Miss Gilroy Garlic Festival, Ariele Combs, who had joined her grandmother, Anna Barber, for the luncheon show.
