In lieu of an open seat on the Gavilan College Board of Trustees following the death of late trustee Mike Davenport, Gavilan is now soliciting nominations to fill the vacancy.

Jeannie A. Glass passed away in Hollister at the age of 51. She was born in Tucson, AZ and lived in Hollister since 1976. She married her husband, Jere, in 1991 in Hollister.

Carolina de Jesus Duran, 48, of Gilroy passed away March 9, 2012. Mother of Welfer, Dagoberto, Cynthia, Eduardo, Rene, and Jose. Grandmother of 13. Daughter of Javier Gutierrez and the late Filomena. Sister of Gloria, Javier, Elubia, Elba, Antoinette, Sandra and Carlos. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
