On December 27, 2011, Ignacio M. Hernandez passed away peacefully in Phoenix AZ. Loving husband to the late Amelia G. Hernandez and son Ignacio Jr. Beloved father to Barbara, David Hernandez and daughter-in-law Esmeralda. Proud and Precious grandfather to Anthony and Bianca Hernandez, Alfonso Hernandez, Alex and Kelli Cruz, and David Matthew Cruz. Beloved brother to Frances Sandoval, Inez Hernandez and sister-in-law Angie. Uncle of many newphews and nieces, Carrasco Family of Gilroy, CA, and Hernandez Family of Phoenix, AZ.

Farmers face new water runoff rules
Despite a tremendous appearance of farmers and members of the public in opposition to new rules regarding water runoff, the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Board voted unanimously to pass the proposal that will require farmers to closely monitor their water runoff.
