Military veterans enrolled as students at Gavilan College are encouraged to attend a meeting where they can voice their ideas about how the college can better serve veterans and their families.

Nathaniel Batey: Nathaniel Batey, Troop 709, was honored at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor March 4. For his project, he refurbished Live Oak High School's six water polo cages and meter markers. He would like to thank his family, fellow Live Oak water polo players, coach, scouts and leaders of Troop 709 who helped him complete this project and attain this award.

Dear great-grandmother of 21 in Mexico, two in Gilroy and great-great-grandmother of four in Mexico. Dear Sister of Rosaura Ortiz of Gilroy.

Court says dismiss senior housing developer’s claim against city

The City of Gilroy is closer to seeing its legal conflict involving a proposed 349-unit housing project in a south Gilroy cherry orchard dismissed after a Superior Court judge ruled the city did not violate the developer’s rights to a public hearing.
