Randy Cobb of Visalia, CA passed away on March 4, 2012, after a prolonged illness. Born on October 23, 1943 in Hollister, CA, Randy was a retired Quality Engineer in the Aerospace industry. Randy served in the Army and was a proud veteran, enjoyed classic cars, especially his 1966 Mustang.

An early season matchup between a pair of teams that had not yet lost in Coast Conference play went the way of the visitors, as Canada College outlasted Gavilan in a high-scoring affair, 14-12, on Tuesday in Gilroy.

Santos passed away in Hollister at the age of 64. He enjoyed spending time with close friends and was often seen walking his dog around town. Family and friends are invited to his memorial service March 10, 2012 at 12:00 P.M.. at Sacred Heart Church, 680 College St.

As with every season, winning the first game in league play is a must. For the San Benito and Gilroy high baseball teams, a league-opening win meant even more, as the Balers try to earn a seventh-straight Tri-County Athletic League title and the Mustangs try knock their rival off that perch.
