Lonnberg plea hearing delayed, set for next month
For the second time in one month, the plea hearing for Gilroyan Stacy Lonnberg was delayed Thursday afternoon and continued to sometime in March.
Flores: A hybrid spy/romantic comedy flick offers laughs
It seems that spy movies are the flavor of the month and I saw another one last weekend. But this spy movie was a hybrid with a romantic comedy, with more leanings toward the latter category.

Esperanza (Hope) Cuellar passed away on February 19, 2012 at her home surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband Alfred Cuellar, daughter Romelia (Romie) Cuellar, Grandson Matthew Sanchez, granddaughter Erica Sanchez and great granddaughter Kailee Skye, all of Gilroy. Sister of Aurora Sandoval (Francisco) of Hollister and Manuel Leyvas of Gilroy. Considered a sister of Dolores Portello of Gilroy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Ruben Espinoza who considered her as a mother.

Big game tested Valley Christian charged into Gilroy High to take on a Mustangs squad with something to prove. With the end of the season glaring at both schools, something had to give - though neither team conceded much in a shoulder-to-shoulder match.
Manuel Bettencourt January 3, 1926 – February 18, 2012
Manuel passed away February 18, 2012, at age 86 peacefully surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife Dolores, son Bobby (MJ) and Lester (Darcy) daughter Tarasa “Penny” Bettencourt. Brothers John, Frank (Evelyn), Louis (Mary) and sister Mary (Art) Escobar. Proceeded in death by his son Manuel Jr, grandson Dustin, brother Filbert, Tony, Joe, and Edward. Manuel loved life, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Hearing for man accused of killing Segway rider postponed
Los Gatos resident Dick Chappell, 83, who pleaded not guilty last month to vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, was in court Tuesday but the scheduled hearing was delayed.
