UPDATE: Police looking for owner of recovered jewelry
The Gilroy Police Department was contacted at 5:12 p.m. Saturday by a citizen who located multiple pieces of jewelry, along with a broken jewelry box stashed in a black computer case near the bridge on the 9000 block of Church Street.Â

Man injured when tractor overturns, rolls into building
A man driving a tractor was injured when it overturned and rolled downhill into a building, Santa Clara County Sheriff Sgt. Jose Cardoza said. The accident occurred about 12:45 p.m. today on private property on the 4000 block of East Dunne Avenue at Finley Ridge Road in the eastern hills of unincorporated Morgan Hill.
New car seat laws effective Jan. 1
Just in case you forgot about the impending changes to car seat safety laws going into effect this new year, all children under the age of 8 must be properly buckled into a car seat or booster seat in the back seat of a vehicle effective Jan. 1. This also applies to children who are older than 8, but are not tall enough for the seat belt to fit properly.
