Betty Corwin Stimson

Betty was born in Pocatello, ID the daughter of the late Fred A. Corwin and Anna Berniece Vogeli. She attended schools in Idaho and California before graduating high school in San Francisco in December 1941. While offered a full scholarship to the University of California, she chose to help family finances by working for the Pacific Telephone Company. She worked for the California Department of Motor Vehicles in the early 1950's. After marrying the late Ray Stimson, they started their own recreational boat business in the Bay Area.

Steven G. Bertero

Steve died accidentally on August 31, 2009 at age 50. A native Californian, Steve grew up and attended school in Gilroy, CA. He is survived by his children Stefanie and husband David Pinheiro, Kevin and Lauren Jo Bertero of Gilroy as well as his former wife Amanda Bertero, grandchildren, Brittney Gitmed, Donavyn and Natalia Pinheiro. He is also survived by his mother, Elaine Bertero Pittroff and husband Lyle, sister, Angela and husband Mike Scarcella , nieces, Brittany and Josephine Mary Scarcella of Hollister and Aunt Phyllis Armenta, her partner Bob Dillon, cousin David Armenta and extended Bertero family members all of Gilroy. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Bertero, Steve's sister, Carrie Ann Bertero, grandparents Angelo C. Bertero, Josephine Mary Bertero and Maternal grandparents, Ben and Edna Marrujo. He loved his children, his family, his friends; and we all loved him well, in return. Steve graduated from Gilroy High School in 1976 he was a longtime employee at Northern California Safeway. A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, 6:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home.
