Amelia Rangel Diaz

Amelia Rangel Diaz, born in 1952, has gone home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. She will always be loved and missed by many especially her soul mate of 40 years, her husband Humberto B. Diaz. She was a beloved mother to two special daughters, Vanessa Lara (husband Nick Lara) and younger daughter Robertina Zamaripa. Amelia was a proud grandmother, Nana was the name chosen by her cherished grandchildren; Amanda, Nicole, Nicolas, Nichelle, Alex and Katie. Ameila was from a traditional Hispanic family which consisted of five brothers and seven sisters, Gloria Ledesma, Tony Rangel, Liz Dowler, Virginia Vasquez, Blanca Rangel, Alice Haro, Rosemary Morales, Agustine Rangel, Sammy Rangel, Bert Rangel, Robert Rangel and their spouses which meant many nephews, nieces, great- nephews and great-nieces. Amelia was also loved and supported by many friends. Viewing is set for Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at 5:00 P.M. and Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at 9:00 A.M. followed by a memorial service at 1:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth Street, Gilroy, CA 95020.
