We celebrate the life of our beloved husband, father, papa, brother, son and friend, Jimmie "Jim" McCoy, a generous and warm spirit, who died after a courageous, year-long battle with lung cancer.  He was 63.  Jimmie was born in Virginia, and raised in Ohio.  He later moved to the San Pablo Bay Area after marrying wife, Barbara of 42 years, where they raised their two children Jeffrey, and Elizabeth. Jimmie was a lover of sports, and coached many Pony baseball teams.  He loved golf and served a year as president for the Pinole Men's Golf Assoc.  His greatest golf achievement was his cherished hole-in-one at Franklin Canyon GC.  He enjoyed watching the horses run at Golden Gate Fields and once hit the "Pick Six".  He loved to watch football and enjoyed traveling after retiring from Safeway Warehouse in Tracy, CA where he worked for 27 yrs as a mechanic.  Jimmie also was a member of the S.I.R.S. club in Vallejo, and the Richmond Moose Lodge.  He lived his last remaining 15 years in Oakley, CA.  He is proceeded in death by his father, Robert "Mack" McCoy and brother Roy McCoy.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara McCoy (Brookshire); son, Jeffrey McCoy; daughter Elizabeth Rivera; son-in-law, Robert Rivera; grand daughters, Isabella & Analisa Rivera; daughter-in-law, Maria McCoy; mother, Bertie Marie McCoy; brothers, Richard, Corbet, Teddy Sr, Jerry and Michael McCoy; sisters, Ethel, Betty, Lorine, Becky and Linda; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.
