Great grandfather of Myles Wetzel.Surrvied also by 13 brothers and sisters, ranging from California, New Mexico, Arizona, and Oklahoma. Alfonso served 20+ years in the U.S. Army and retired in 1977, then settled in Morgan Hill with his family. He worked as a Security Guard for two local companies, Monterey Mushroom Co. and Gilroy Foods where he retired. His favorite pass time was fishing with family, brothers-in-law,and friends. He will surely be missed by everyone who loved him. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 5-8 pm at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Street in Morgan Hill. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, CA
