Roxy and Rocco: An adventurous pair
Roxy and Rocco are best buds since the rambunctious Rocco joined the family five years ago. He’s an old time farm shepherd who roams “the farm” watching out for everyone and everything. She’s a lovable 9-year-old golden retriever who’s sweeter than an olallieberry pie from Gizdich Ranch. They both love to play fetch and their favorite outing is to Carmel Beach.
Ozzie and Sheldon: Twice the pup fun
Ozzie is 1-year-old and he loves to cuddle and shake your hand. He is very sensitive to feelings and will brighten your day. Sheldon is just a baby at 5 months old. He loves it when you rub his belly. He is still learning his name and what “no” means.
Scotty and Marvin: One pug is never enough
My husband and I had both wanted a pug our whole lives. When we finally got Scotty (right) he was everything and more than we ever hoped for. We soon realized that one was not enough. A little over a year later, we added Marvin (left) to our family, and the two of them have been inseparable ever since.

Otis: An oldie … but a goodie
His peering bug eyes account for 20 percent of his body weight. He snores like an ox and snorts like a pig. He chases squeaky toys (blindly) with the feverish abandon of a puppy. He’s 91 in dog years, but loves a game of tug-of-war with BFF Dexter the Great Dane. And whether its the cataracts or a mysterious train of prolonged doggy daydreaming, he’ll often catch you off guard with a disarmingly wide-eyed, focused stare that makes you feel like he’s peering into your very soul.
Gilroy woman claims to be victim of alleged break-ins, pet abuse
Cathy Canales, of Gilroy, keeps 19 dead fish in her freezer, hoping authorities will investigate her reports of a series of bizarre break-ins during which her pets - cats, guinea pigs, hamsters and this month, fish - have allegedly been mutilated, maimed and even killed, according to Canales.
