At the Annual California Women’s Short Course Golf Association
Christmas Luncheon at the Bay Cafe, Palo Alto Golf Course, held
Friday, Dec. 12, the Gavilan Niners Ladies Golf Group was presented
with the CWSCGA Trophy for 2008 for scoring the most points during
the year.
PALO ALTO – At the Annual California Women’s Short Course Golf Association Christmas Luncheon at the Bay Cafe, Palo Alto Golf Course, held Friday, Dec. 12, the Gavilan Niners Ladies Golf Group was presented with the CWSCGA Trophy for 2008 for scoring the most points during the year.
Members of CWSCGA hail from ten clubs, ranging from Foster City to Gilroy. The clubs compete monthly.
Individual awards were given to Pat Angulo of San Jose for best attendance and low putts, and Shelley Kovac of Gilroy for most birdies on the year for the Niners.
The Annual Gavilan Niners Christmas Luncheon, held at Eagle Ridge Golf Course on Dec. 4, featured Kovacs being honored as the Club Champion for 2008, and Marlene Sherwin of Morgan Hill taking home the Ace of Aces award.
