GILROY – Rudy Maquinalez went 4-for-4 and Jason Jones scored four runs as No Soup 4 You opened the Men’s DDD League season with a 16-4 victory over Bay Sheets Sunday in softball play at Las Animas Park.
Jones contributed three doubles and Eddie Yanez scored three runs for Soup. Serafin Mancera went 3-for-4 for Bay Sheets.
Joel Vaca socked two home runs and Leroy Martinez added three hits to lead Victory Outreach past the Plunderers 14-1. Fred Saucedo managed a run-scoring hit for the Plunderers.
Erik Adams went 3-for-4 with four runs batted in as Covenant defeated the Chippendales 20-13. Tommy Banuelos, Joe Merillis and Joel Haferbecker each netted three Covenant hits. Eddie Cordia and Frank Crue blasted Chippendales homers.
Rico Lopez hit two home runs to lead Dee’s Nuts and Cherries to a 16-7 victory over Dutchman’s Pizza-Big Kahunas in Co-Rec B League play. Jess Lopez homered and Grace Gonzalez scored four Dee’s runs. Danny Benz lined two doubles, Cheryl Kern two singles for the Kahunas.
Bennie Sanchez went 3-for-4 and scored three runs as Krazy Koyotes-Dutchman’s Pizza turned back Feather Haven Mill 18-6. Joleen Carrasco mustered three hits and scored three runs for the winners. Tim DeCarlo and Brett Scott each lined three hits for Feather Haven Mill.
