“We really benefited from playing stronger players today,” said coach Eric Kuwada. “Each Gilroy player came off the court with a smile and the remark ‘I played my best game today and enjoyed every minute.’ What they learned today will help them become better players for the next match. I was proud of them and the way they handled themselves today.”

No. 1 Singles – Mischelle Tajan lost to Alexis Pressas 1-6, 4-6

No. 2 Singles – Amy Huang lost to Brittlyn Swchartz 2-6, 4-6

No. 3 Singles – Emily Castro lost to Sarah Plymel 0-6, 4-6

No. 4 Singles – Gories Kwong lost to Chantelle Edwards 2-6, 1-6

No. 1 Doubles – Karissa Tellez and Holly Hunter lost to Shannon Macissal and Sarah Horne 4-6, 2-6

No. 2 Doubles – Natalie Toews and Kimberly Johnson won against April Harvey and Brooke Caraccoli 1-6, 6-4, (10-8 tiebreaker)

No. 3 Doubles – undefeated Anneliese Zelina and Melanie Morelos won against Daisy Winstune and Franchesca Flores 6-2, 6-3
