with a 22-13 win over the Gamecocks in Boys 7-8 Grade play Saturday

The Orange Crush completed the Youth Basketball Program season with a 22-13 win over the Gamecocks in Boys 7-8 Grade play Saturday at Solorsano Gymnasium.

Jeffrey Carr popped in 10 points, pulled down five rebounds and managed three steals to highlight the Crush effort. Alex Rojas struck for six points, Evan Trevino added four and Anthony Litrell-Garcia two for the winners. Rojas and Litrell-Garcia paced the Crush with six rebounds each. Alex Gutierrez accounted for six points, Brandon David four and Tevin Voorhees three for the Gamecocks.

The Warriors trimmed the Gamecocks 24-18. Gutierrez tossed in six points, Christopher DeLaCruz, Voorhees and Ryan Tabilas four each for the losers.

The Green Warriors topped the Gold Lakers 34-23 in Boys’ 5-6 play. Eddie Tinoco hustled to eight points, while Andrei Arroyo hit for six points, five rebounds and two steals for the Lakers. Yafet Bitwoded delivered three points and three rebounds.

The Kings topped the Gators 21-15. Zachery Fisher, Trevor Hadnot and Derek Gubrud each worked for four Gator points.

Jimmy Lemberger and Ryan Wong each scored eight points as the Red Blazers outlasted the Celtics 30-10 in Boys’ 4 action. Rigo Vasquez scored six points and earned 11 rebounds for the winners. Justin Soseman delivered one point and pulled down eight rebounds.

The Lady Lakers upset the Hurricanes 17-8 in Girls’ 5-7 play. Ally Foster worked inside for six points and Daniella Sandoval added two markers for the Canes. Ashley Irby and Alissa Sandoval delivered strong defensive performances for the Canes.

The Super Stars defeated the Warriors 26-14 in Co-Ed 3-Girls’ 4 play. Anna Gamboa provide 10 points, Maria Sandoval and Cameron Childers six apiece for the Stars. Andrew Nguyen managed 10 points, Shay Patel four for the Warriors.

Justin Castro scored six points and Ben Cox added four to lead the Lakers in a 13-10 setback to the Sharks.
