GILROY – Anchorpoint Christian softball improved to 4-2 on the season with an 11-2 win over Anzar last week, as Shayna Osuna went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI.
“We were happy with our team’s performance,” Lady Warriors manager Alicia Hernandez said. “Unfortunately, now we have to wait until after spring break for our next game.” Anchorpoint won’t return to action until April 22, when it travels to play at Valley Christian. The Lady Warriors will play at Greenfield the following day.
Against Anzar, Adrianna Osuna had a huge performance for the Lady Warriors at the plate, coming a just a home run short of the cycle while plating three runners. Virginia Mallory had a 2-RBI single, and Kristi Osuna and Danielle Kinoshita both had two hits.
Kinoshita also pitched, allowing just four hits while striking out eight batters and giving up no walks.
