Paul Victor Rivera passed away at Kaiser Santa Teresa Hospital, San Jose, on April 13.
He was the husband of Adeline Rivera of Gilroy. He is also survived by his daughter and her husband, Penny Candy and Rudy Garcia of Gilroy; his son and his wife Paul Jr. and Jennifer Rivera of Tucson, Ariz.; his son Raymond Rivera of Gilroy; his daughter Shante Guel of Morgan Hill; his daughter Inez Mendez of Hollister; and his daughter Vicki Rivera of Gilroy. He is also survived by his brother and his wife Joe and Marie Rivera of San Jose, Elias Rivera of Gustine and Joey Rivera of San Jose. He is the grandfather of Benjamin Torres, Cherice Garcia, Selina Garcia, Elisa Rivera, Nicholas Rivera, Daniel Rivera, Aubriana Rivera, Patrick Rivera, Christopher Rivera, Tommy Rivera, Marcelino Guel Jr., Adam Martinez, Jake Mendez, Leanne Mendez and his great granddaughter Neaveh Jazmin Torres. He was the best friend of Bob Lee of Gilroy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Candelaria Rivera and his brothers and sister Louie Mora, Frank Mora, Cecelia Castillo, Clara Allen, and Rosalie Wojcieszak. He was born in Montebello on Feb. 16, 1943. Paul loved to fish, go camping and he loved animals.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Full Gospel Church, 7250 Forest St., Gilroy. Arrangements by Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
