Los Pistoleros grabbed an 8-0 lead after three innings. Pizza N’ Stuff rebounded with a five-run fifth, then used RBI-singles from Dave Newton, Dave Lujan and Jared Racz to take a 10-9 lead.
Duke Newton added a two-run double for the Pizzamen. Tito Flores lined a triple and single for Los Pistoleros.
The VFW Vets reached 2-1 with a 15-10 victory over Team Hair FX.
Roger Ortiz and Joe Cano each bagged two-run home runs for the VFW Vets. Robert Armendariz stroked four hits for the winners. Marc Rodriguez and Dave Espinoza each accounted for three hits for Team Hair FX.
2NQ, the first-half EE champion, moved to 2-1 in D play with a 6-5 comeback nod over Dr. Tile.
Bruce Hanna went 3-for-4 and Isaac Agaliotis lined a two-run home run as Dr. Tile took a 5-4 lead by the sixth inning. Ricky Krogen singled from Paul Bianchi in the 2NQ sixth. Omar Rodriguez doubled and scored on a Bianchi sacrifice fly in the seventh.
Claddagh Brew Crew improved to 3-0 atop the Men’s E League standings Thursday with a 20-5 win over Heinzen Manufacturing at Las Animas Park.
Parker Hathaway hit a home run in a 4-for-5 effort and Willie Wiehman added two doubles and two singles for the Brewers. John Jimenez drove in three Heinzen runs with a home run, double and sacrifice fly.
The Titans also hit 3-0 by defeating St. Mary Men’s Club 14-5. Vance Lee stroked a three-run home run, triple and single for the Titans. Ted Pickeral went 3-for-3 for the winners, Henry Juarez 3-for-4 for St. Mary Men’s Club.
The Players eased past Kenko Utility Supply 23-8 behind a 3-for-3 performance from Raul Torralba. Mike Potter went 3-for-3 for Kenko Utility Supply.
Team Talamo Foods is one of four teams at 2-1 atop the Men’s BB League standings after a 23-8 win over Czar Construction Friday at Las Animas.
Tomas Carrillo and Fred McCasland each went 5-for-5 for Team Talamo. Mario Bena went 4-for-4 and Brian Jones cracked a three-run home run for Czar Construction.
