The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes this week including driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and theft. Arrests were recorded in this week’s GPD blotter from Nov. 19 through 21.
Driving under the influence
-Beth Scheid, 49, on Nov. 20 at 4 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey Road and Farrell Avenue for driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher.
Theft
-Sharon Lancaster, 24, on Nov. 21 at 11:26 a.m. at the Kohl’s located at 6765 Camino Arroyo for theft of personal property.
-Stella Subia, 44, on Nov. 21 at 11:55 a.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for petty theft of personal property.
Parole violation
-Larry Giles, 31, on Nov. 19 at 6:01 p.m. on an unknown block of Arroyo Circle for felony parole violation.
-Santiago Medina, 29, on Nov. 19 at 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Sixth and Dowdy streets for felony parole violation.
Multiple charges
-Evaristo Loa, 59, on Nov. 19 at 6:08 p.m. near the intersection of Church Street and Welburn Avenue for two counts of felony possession of a narcotic controlled substance and drinking an intoxicating liquor in a public place.
-Dennis Palmer, 44, on Nov. 19 at 4:29 p.m. on the 8200 block of Murray Avenue for failure to pay, use/being under the influence of a controlled substance and driving while unlicensed.
-Alejandro Verduzco, 22, on Nov. 19 at 11:45 p.m. on the 8500 block of Wren Avenue for felony selling or aiding in the sale of stolen property, felony theft or unauthorized use of a vehicle, no insurance and failure to pay public transit system.
Drinking in public
-Daniel Roa, 29, on Nov. 19 at 4:22 p.m. near the intersection of IOOF and Murray avenues for drinking an intoxicating liquor in a public place.
Under the influence
-Joseph Gomez, 27, on Nov. 19 at 12:16 a.m. on the 1600 block of Mantelli Drive for being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
