The Gilroy Police Department made arrests for a variety of crimes this week, from possession of a controlled substance for sale, child endangerment to exhibiting a firearm and inflicting bodily injury on a spouse. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between June 25 and July 1.
Exhibiting a firearm
-Johnathon Arroyo, 24, June 29 at 7:09 p.m. near the intersection of E. 10th and Alexander streets for one misdemeanor charge, felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
Possession of a controlled substance for sale
-Ann Deleon, 38, June 28 at 2:41 a.m. near the intersection of Westwood and Driftwood drives for one felony charge and felony possession of ammunition by a felon.
Assault with a deadly weapon
-Jesus Lopez, 30, June 29 at 3:07 p.m. on the 8200 block of Kern Avenue for one felony charge and possession of a dirk or dagger.
Robbery
-Joseph Velador, 22, June 28 at 9:17 p.m. on the 7300 block of Maple Street for one felony charge.
Burglary
-Molly Loa, 34, June 26 at 10:57 p.m. on the 8200 block of Monterey Street for two felony charges of second-degree burglar, an outstanding warrant for unlawful possession of paraphernalia and a felony parole hole.
Attempted burglary
-Elizabeth Chavez, 23, June 29 at 1:33 a.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for one felony charge and felony possession of a controlled substance.
-Richard Valenzuela, 34, June 29 at 1:33 a.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for one felony charge and felony possession of a controlled substance.
Battery
-Jaime Sanchez, 37, June 28 at 3:50 p.m. on the 9400 block of No Name Uno for one charge and assault on a person.
Child endangerment
-Stacy Quezada, 26, June 25 at 3:26 p.m. on the 500 block of Polk Court for two charges of child endangerment involving unjust pain and suffering.
Domestic violence
-Raul Torralba, 40, June 27 at 7:50 p.m. on the 9300 block of Monterey Street for battery on a former spouse, fiance or friend.
-Maria Cervantes, 46, June 28 at 9:32 p.m. on the 7300 block of Maple Street for two outstanding warrants: battery on a former spouse, fiance or friend and willful disobedience of a court order.
-Brice Noriega, 20, June 28 at 9:25 p.m. near the intersection of Maple and Sixth streets for battery against a spouse, cohabitant or friend and fighting in public.
-Robert Jimenez, 30, June 29 at 2:08 a.m. on the 1200 block of Welburn Avenue for felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant and felony violation of a protective order.
-Daniel Rojas, 20, June 30 at 6:44 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for battery on a former spouse, fiancé or friend.
Driving under the influence
-Celso Hernandez, 18, June 26 at 7:19 p.m. on the 600 block of E. Seventh Street for DUI, hit and run resulting in property damage and driving on a suspended license.
-Juan Pinon Barriga, 22, June 29 at 2:08 a.m. near the intersection of Camino Arroyo and Gilman Road for driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher.

Multiple charges
-Angel Soleno, 18, June 25 at 8:10 a.m. at the Gilroy police station for entering a noncommercial dwelling, trespassing and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Raymond Orosco, 25, June 27 at 9:37 p.m. near the intersection of Welburn Avenue and Westwood Drive for four felony charges: carrying a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, possession of ammunition by a felon and possession of a firearm by a felon.

-Heliodoro Hernandez, 48, June 27 at 1:50 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey and Seventh streets for one felony charge.
-Isaac Rodriguez, 19, June 30 at 10:39 p.m. for one misdemeanor charge.

-Lori Fowler, 36, June 25 at 4:19 p.m. at the Gilroy police station.

-Folitau Ula, 22, June 25 at 11:41 p.m. on the 5500 block of Monterey Street.

-Jose Mendez, 40, June 26 at 8:18 p.m. on an undisclosed section of 10th Street.
Driving violations
-Kim Castagne, 57, June 26 at 11:14 p.m. on the 300 block of Mantelli Drive for driving on a suspended license and failure to stop at a red signal.
-Federico Loeza, 18, June 27 at 3:15 p.m. on the 300 block of W. Eighth Street for driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
