The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes this week, including “loud and unreasonable noise,” trespassing and battery. Arrests were recorded in this week’s GPD blotter from Feb. 10 through 18.
Loud and unreasonable noise
-Gilbert Chavaria, 27, Feb 12 at 4:45 p.m. on the 300 block of Ronan Avenue for creating loud, unreasonable noise.
Loaded firearm
-Jose Chavez Ponce, 25, Feb. 15 at 3:04 a.m. on the 8100 block of Monterey Street for possession of a narcotic controlled substance, carrying a loaded firearm on the person and carrying a concealed weapon on the person.
Trespassing
-Jose Mendez, 39, Feb. 14 at 1:34 p.m. on the 100 block of Baines Lane for trespassing by entering and occupying.

-Carlos Aquino Del Angel, 34, on Feb. 16 at 9:55 a.m. near the intersection of Tenth Street and Monterey Street for use / being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
-Simon Blanco Hernandez, 38, on Feb. 15 at 4:01 a.m. on the 8100 block of Monterey Street for possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
-Isaac Rodriguez, 19, on Feb. 13 at 10:39 p.m. near the intersection of La Alondra Way and Wren Avenue for possession of a controlled substance.

-Hugo Higuera, 25, on Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. on the 1900 block of Montebello Drive for driving under the influence, being an unlicensed driver and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher.
Battery
-Jessica Denetclaw, 26, on Feb. 14 at 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Tenth Street and Monterey Street for battery of a former spouse, fiancé, or cohabitant.
-Roberto Correa, 48, on Feb. 16 at 7:53 p.m. near the intersection of Grant Court and Murray Avenue for battery on a former spouse, fiancé or cohabitant and threats to commit crime resulting in bodily injury.
-Adrian Santos, 28, on Feb. 13 at 6:36 p.m. near the intersection of Springdale Court and Ivy Street for battery and assault on a person.
-Noel Calderon, 28, on Feb. 18 at 12:42 a.m. near the intersection of Church Street and Sixth Street for battery against a spouse, finance or cohabitant, battery on a peace officer/ emergency personnel etc., resisting delaying or obstructing a peace officer, assault with a deadly weapon and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.

-Luis Vasquez, 27, on Feb. 16 at 6:35 p.m. near the intersection of Chestnut Street and Tenth Street for selling or aiding in selling stolen goods.
Multiple charges
-Michael Mortimer, 21, on Feb. 10 at 9:03 p.m. on the 7200 block of Camino Arroyo for being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance, resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer and reporting a false ID to a police officer.
-Allison Benaly, 52, on Feb. 14 at 3:49 p.m. on the 900 block of First Street for being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance and intoxicating liquor in a public place.
-Gregorio Rodriguez, 50, on Feb. 16 at 9:55 a.m. near the intersection of Tenth Street and Monterey Street for use / being under the influence of a controlled substance, intoxicating liquor in a public place, disobeying the court order process and failure to appear on misdemeanor charge.
-Yajaira Flores, 24 on Feb. 16 at 5:40 p.m. near the intersection of Tenth Street and Highway 101 for being under the influence of a controlled substance, mail theft and first-degree burglary.
-Rufino Salinas, 28, on Feb. 16 at 10:48 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey Street and Sixth Street for driving with privileges suspended or revoked, and failure to comply with a court order.
-Ernest Brazwell, 19, on Feb. 17 at 6:07 p.m. near the intersection of Lewis Street and Rogers Lane for resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer, possession of concentrated cannabis and being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
-Manuel Marin, 31, on Feb. 14 at 3:49 p.m. near the intersection of First Street and Kern Avenue for possession of stolen property, probation violation, and possession of burglary tools.
-Roberto Mendoza, 29, on Feb. 18 at 3:39 p.m. on the 6800 block of Church Street for robbery, threats to commit a crime resulting in bodily injury and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
