In regards to the removal of the letter carrier: The Postmaster
has gone beyond being reasonable in this case. Removal is a serious
action and follows a person for many years.

In regards to the removal of the letter carrier: The Postmaster has gone beyond being reasonable in this case. Removal is a serious action and follows a person for many years.
Having been a carrier for 38 years, I have seen cases where the discipline does not fit the infraction. Discipline is suppose to be remedial and not terminal. My thoughts are that this removal will be overturned in arbitration and a lesser solution be found.
This is an embarrassment to the Postal Service and does not reflect well on the service.
