Mustangs top N. Salinas in four
Sarah Weiby and Lelaini Mah were a dynamic duo for Gilroy High Monday.
Weiby had 13 kills while Mah added 12 to help the Mustangs to a 3-1 victory over North Salinas at home. 
Gilroy won 25-17, 29-27, 26-24, 25-18 in the team’s last preseason match. The Mustangs are now 2-3 heading into Monterey Bay League PacificDivision play. 
Clarrisa Quezada had five serving aces and provided excellent defense for the Mustangs. Gabby Martinez and Bailie Erickson also had strong defensive showings. Alexis Conley contributed with three serving aces of her own for Gilroy.
The Mustangs JV also played North Salinas and fell into two game 10-25, 16-25.
