Gilroy's Samantha Una Dia and Christopher's Aly Foster compete in the 110 meter hurdles during their dual meet Thursday.

Gilroy High senior track and field star Samantha Una’Dia broke school records on consecutive days Friday and Saturday in the 300-meter hurdles, and set a school record in the 100 hurdles Friday.

Una’Dia won the 100 hurdles in 15.24 seconds and placed eighth in the 300 hurdles in 46.98 in the Top 8 meet Friday at San Jose City College, setting two school records in the process. She broke a school record again with a second-place mark of 46.9 in the 300 hurdles, and took second in the 100 hurdles during the Bill Kearney Invitational on Saturday at Hartnell College in Salinas.

The old Gilroy High girls 300 hurdles record of 47.1 was set in 1993. The old Gilroy High girls 100 hurdles record belonged to Una’Dia’s older sister, current Fresno State junior heptathlete Sarah Una’Dia.

For Christopher during Friday’s Top 8 meet, Bryan Pipkin was fifth in the boys pole vault with a mark of 13 feet; Allison Foster was fourth in the girls 100 hurdles in 15.56, fifth in the 300 hurdles in 46.56 and 10th in the triple jump at 34-4 ¼; Amira Barnett was 10th in the girls 100 in 12.8 and 10th in the 200 in 26.27; and Haley Romero was fifth in the girls long jump at 16-4 ¾.
