South Valley motorcyclists: smooth and streetable history is returning to the local area.
Chances are, if you’ve cruised the bucolic countryside roads of southern Santa Clara Valley, it’s possible to hear the purr of what organizers dub “America’s first motorcycle company.” This Friday and Saturday, April 11-12 Indian Motorcycle is slated to celebrate its grand opening at a brand new location, 411 San Felipe Road in Hollister.
“Indian Motorcycle is a legendary brand with strong ties to the South Valley having at one time been home to the Indian Motorcycle Corporation, and I am honored to again be a part of it,” said Rey Sotelo, general manager.
Here’s what’s on tap:
• Factory demo truck onsite both days featuring the all-new 2014 Indian Chief lineup featuring the Thunder Stroke 111 engine, “the heartbeat of the Chiefs.”
• Branscombe Richmond from the TV series “Renegade” and Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame inductee special appearance all of the way from the Aloha state
• Music, food, beverages and giveaways
• Demo rides free and open to all licensed riders with a valid motorcycle endorsement
