Mr. Kumagai was born Dec, 24, 1905 in Fukuoka, Japan.
He is survived by his children, James Kumagai of Hunting Beach, Robert Kumagai of Morgan Hill and Arlene Tully of Fremont; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Tamaye Tabe.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sumiki Kumagai and three brothers.
Services will be held at 7pm. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center, 16450 Murphy Ave., Morgan Hill
