After two weeks in search of a moniker for the albino gopher dwelling underground at Anchorpoint Christian High School, the little critter has a name: Blanco.
Campus pastor Danny Kinoshita gathered a consensus for the winning name – which was chosen from 20 entrees on Facebook.com/ gilroydispatch. Lisa Carrillo Shingu, posted the winning name, and for which she has won $50 to Station 55.
Here are a few of our favorites that didn’t win: Vincent Van Gopher, Lady Gnaw Gnaw and Grandy, (Fred Grandy was “Gopher” on “The Love Boat”).
