GILROY—IFC-Self Made rolled past the Swingers 19-8 Monday to move to 9-1 atop the Co-Rec B Softball League standings.
Marissa Gamboa lined two singles in the fifth inning as IFC-Self Made recorded eight runs. Gamboa paced all batters with four hits. Elias Madrid hit a three-run triple for the Swingers.
A grand slam in the sixth inning by Madrid keyed a 10-7 Swingers nod over En Tu Cara in the doubleheader nightcap. Jimmy Castaneda went 3 for 3 for En Tu Cara.
Tommy Muth homered and Ray Avena produced two doubles and a single in a 13-5 Anritsu victory over St. Louise 5150’s. Joel Garcia stroked three doubles for St. Louise.
Friday Men’s EE
Recology clinched at least a share of the regular-season title with a 12-9 decision over California Overhead at Christmas Hill Park.
Ruben Trujillo homered and Rick Trujillo hit two doubles as Recology reached 8-1. Mario Gallardo’s single ignited a seven-run rally in the second inning for California Overhead (5-5).
The Aztecs stayed in second place at 6-4 by edging Recology 7-4. Rion Alnas tripled and singled for the winners. Recology slipped to 8-2 despite three Ruben Trujillo doubles.
Ricky Salinas lined a triple, double and single as OMG outlasted Gil’s Warriors 13-8. Robert Silvia and Dave Espinosa each homered for Gil’s Warriors.
Wednesday Men’s E
Tony Murillo hit a triple and three singles as the Borrachos held on for a 14-12 win over No Soup 4 You June 25 at Christmas Hill.
Paulo Perez followed with a triple and two singles for 7-4 Borrachos. Sam Juarez went 4 for 4 and Jeff Jones and Richard Luna powered Soup homers.
All of a Sudden (11-0) trimmed Feather Haven 18-15 as Mike Pepper collected four hits and scored four runs. Phillip Alosi homered for Feather Haven.
HD Auto Glass-Players topped Those Guys 19-1 as Johnny Burns Sr. went 3 for 3. Albert Vegas singled and scored the Guys run.
Tuesday Men’s D
Garlic City Computer & Network earned the regular-season title with a 12-6 victory over Team TF at Christmas Hill.
The Computermen are 9-2 with one game to play before Playoff Night. Paco Hernandez went 4 for 4 for the winners. Tomas Carrillo singled and doubled, scoring one run for 6-5 Team TF.
The Loco Boys turned back Danger-KJ Pool Service 22-18 as Jose Torres homered in a four-hit, four-run performance. Matt Galindo and Roger Hernandez each homered for Danger-KJ Pool Service.
