VFW Bingo earned the second-half Men’s E Softball League title Thursday at Las Animas Park by blanking Trevino Brothers Construction 15-0.

VFW Bingo grabbed a share of the second-half crown with a two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning the previous week for a 11-10 nod over the Titans. The Bingo heroics set up Thursday’s tiebreaker with Trevino Brothers.

Steve Lemberger pitched a four-hitter for VFW Bingo and helped at the plate with three singles. Julio Zavala provided two triples and a single, driving in five Bingo runs. Michael Camino doubled and singled for Trevino Brothers.

VFW Bingo will face first-half champion Claddagh Brew Crew on Thursday July 21 at Las Animas at 6:30 p.m.

The Heathens claimed the Men’s D League’s spring-summer season title Friday with a 13-6 victory over DeHaro Mechanical.

Willis Construction, the first-half D winner, won the second-half title in the CC League to leave the first-half title to runner-up Heathens.

The Heathens added the second-half crown at 5-1 with Friday’s win, finishing one game ahead of DeHaro, the Players-HD Auto Glass and A-Plus Learning Center.

DeHaro and A-Plus will open a two-game playoff series for the D League second-place award Friday July 22 at Las Animas at 6:30 p.m. The Players will play at 8:50pm against the 6:30 winner for the award.

Zeke Lopez drove in five Heathen runs with a home run, double and single. Joel Lopez and Eddie Flores each provided three hits for the winners. Graig Martinez hit a home run and two triples for DeHaro.

Frank Duran and Rene Sanchez each went 3-for-3 to lift the Players past A-Plus Learning Center 11-10. The loss dropped the Center out of a first-place tie. Jake Wischmann and Eric Vegas hit home runs for the losers.

Sam Juarez and Sonny Casillas each drilled four hits to give No Soup 4 You, the first-half EE champion, a 14-6 win over 100 Per Cent Beef. Nick Benevento and Anthony Hernandez each managed three hits for the Beef, the first-half DD champion.

No Soup faces Family First for the EE title on Thursday July 21 at Las Animas at 7:40 p.m. One Hundred Per Cent Beef plays the Borrachos for the Men’s DD title on Friday July 22 at Las Animas at 7:40pm.

Aaron Parker went 4-for-4 and scored three runs to lead Feather Haven past Claddagh Brew Crew 18-2 in Men’s DD play Friday at Christmas Hill Park. Kevin Belanger went 2-for-2 and scored on Claddagh run.

Humboldt Brewing edged Familia-Dos Amigos 18-15 as Daniel Valdez and Dave Keim Jr. each homered. Kevin Orosco went 3-for-4 for the losers.

Advance Wheels prepped for the Co-Rec C League’s championship game set for Sunday July 17 at Las Animas at 5:00 p.m. by topping Out 2 Play 17-3 Sunday.

Amanda Perez hit a three-run triple to highlight a 12-run first inning for the Wheels. Aaron Tilley went 4-for-4 for the winners, James Lopez 3-for-5 for Out 2 Play.

Eric Martin went 3-for-4 and Laura Cole scored three runs to lead Hi-Energy Networks by Chili’s Grill & Bat 13-10. Ryan Tapia hit two homers and two singles for Chili’s, the first-half D champion. Chaos and Chili’s Grill & Bar will play for the D title on Sunday July 17 at Las Animas at 6:10 p.m.
