George Morales went 4-for-4 and Matt Hernandez scored three runs to guide Medrano Electric-Bucket List past Anritsu 14-10 in the Thursday Men’s EE Softball League opener at Christmas Hill Park.
Mike Pepper drove in three Bucket runs. Ben Hartshorn plated three runs, Ray Avena and Joaquin Zamarron two apiece for Anritsu.
Trevino Brothers Construction struck for 10 runs in the second inning on the way to an 11-4 victory over Gilroy VFW Vets. Bubba Castaneda and Pasqual Cid each had two hits in the rally. Joe Forestieri went 3-for-3 for the Builders. Mike Montenegro hit a three-run home run for VFW Vets.
Noah outlasted VFW Bingo 20-16 as Art Barajas hit a three-run home run. John Escota, Abe Burciaga and Alexander Soto each collected four Noah hits. Julio Zavala drove in six Bingo runs with a homer, double and single.
Ron Alshire and Nate Stiles each went 3-for-3 to key a 17-15 Gilroy Thunder win over Sons of Thunder in Thursday EE play at Las Animas Park. Justin Lopez and Jeff Weseloh each went 5-for-5 for the Sons of Thunder.
Claddagh topped the Titans 24-9 as Mike Keith went 4-for-5 and scored four runs. Ricky Correa hit a home run and two singles for the Titans.
Sam Juarez went 3-for-4 and scored four runs to help No Soup 4 You past the Loco Boys 19-13 in Wednesday Men’s E action.
Marco Lopez, Johnny Carrillo and Johnny Bueno each went 4-for-4 for the Loco Boys.
Zach Stanley went 5-for-5 and scored four runs as the Blacktop Bombers edged Johnson Lumber 17-12. Louie Ceja hit two triples and two singles for the Lumbermen.
Rob Flores went 5-for-5 and scored four runs as Players-HD Auto Glass defeated Inglorious Batters 30-14. Tommy Murth went 4-for-4 and Ruben Sanchez scored three runs for Inglorious Batters.
South County Rockery opened the Women’s League season Wednesday with a 10-2 win over Las Frijolitas.
Trenna Burbank and Stacey Shaeffer each scored two runs for the Rockery. Christina Martinez went 2-for-2 and scored one Frijolitas run.
Carissa Kozacek, D.J. Simpson and Bri Feita each went 4-for-4 to spark DF Gals to a 19-10 win over Pops’ Gals. Maureen Hughes, Shawna Snakenberg, Suzanne Lomeli and Julie Berggren each managed three hits for Pops’ Gals.
Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors posted a 12-8 win over the 953 Boys in the Tuesday DD opener at Christmas Hill. Fernando Ayala scored three runs and Mike Gonzalez hit two doubles for the Floormen. Gil Salgado went 3-for-3 and Nick Franco scored twice for the 953 Boys.
Danny Pequeno went 4-for-4 and scored three runs in a 16-6 North Bound win over the Sons of Pitches. Jarod Patterson and Blake Bridges each posted two hits and scored twice for the Pitchmen.
Matt Lappen snapped a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning with a triple as Walton & Sons Masonry trimmed the Borrachos, 4-1. Jaredd Reeve plated Lappen with a sacrifice fly. Geoff Graves completed the scoring with an RBI single in the Walton seventh inning. Armando Franco went 2-for-3 and scored the Borrachos run.
